My Finest Hour…So Far

Way back in November 2009, I entered one of my short stories in the MicroHorror Halloween Flash Fiction competition and I was one of six winners that year.

The story was A Letter from the Trenches and it remains one of my favourites to date. It was a wonderful thing to have won, especially considering the quality of the other entrants that year (and, indeed, every year – MicroHorror remains one of the finest flash fiction sites on the ‘net). What made it even better was that the prizes were sourced and awarded by the living legend that is…well, check it out yourself.
